Storytelling workshop – children

Jane attended Thurso High school and Stirling University and has been a member of the Scottish Storytelling forum since 2011. Jane’s knowledge of Caithness folklore builds on memories of passed down by her grandmother of playing at Sysa Hill of the Piper of Windy Ha’ legend, and continued to develop through work in Edinburgh, the Braid Hills and even to Greece. Jane’s workshops will be inspired Caithness folklore and activities to build and remember tales.
Workshop for 0-6 year olds

Jane’s workshops for wee ones and their parents will explore Caithness legends in a fun interactive way. Come and hear tales about Selkies and Faeries and make a magical story stick to take home.
Workshop for 6-12 year olds
Tuesday 4th July, Main Hall, Ross Institute, Halkirk
14.00 – 16.00
Jane will share traditional Caithness tales about faeries, mermaids and giantesses, children will have a chance to practice their storytelling and weave a special charm to remember the session…no pens or paper needed!
