Andy and Jane were matched to produce a piece of artwork which explored a health condition. Over the past 11 weeks, a story has been crafted which involves the histories of Andys life .

“Storytellers shape and tell stories which speak of our shared humanity and experience of the world. For the most part I share traditional folk tales, wonder tales and myths and legends that connect with nature and wild places, but I’m also drawn to biographical stories. there is a special connection between stories, land and people.

Despite spending formative years in Caithness, I didn’t learn the folklore and legends of the country til later in life, now I share these far and wide.

When I spoke with Andy, I was delighted to discover we had a shared love of folklore and the mysterious, and I felt that a modern faerie tale shared in the form of an artist book and performance would work well.” – Jane Mather
