The Project

We would like to see how effective Therapeutic Horticulture can be for managing the effects of health conditions and the waiting times that people in Caithness face for diagnosis and treatment.

This will involve a series of plant-drawing workshops in green spaces and venues, and finish with a “Carnival” in May with music, storytelling and art workshops

We’ll be looking to work with trusted partners and new faces to really see how art, music and nature affect our physical and cognitive health. We aim to open the sign-ups for the workshops in early 2026.

To shape the Carnival of Plants, fill in the surveys below. We will use the answers to help us make decisions about the project, such as which venues to use and what type of workshops to put on.
