Storytelling workshop – adults

Griogair MacAllein

Griogair is an award winning writer, poet, storyteller & dramaturge who gathers tales from a vast array of sources to share with audiences across the Highlands & beyond.
A tradition bearer and revivalist, Griogair uses his knowledge and experience of the landscape as integral to a time and place of the ‘true tales and fabulous fibs’ he has been telling, rhyming and singing for over 20 years.

We look forward to welcoming Griogair back to Caithness, an area he is well familiar with to invigorate the myths and legends rooted here.

Stories from the Seanachaidh

Wednesday 12th July, Main Hall, Ross Institute, Halkirk

1800-20.00

Griogair will run an ‘after-dinner’ storytelling session where he will take the floor and move around it to narrate the fantastical stories of Caithness. This will be an intriguing and captivating event where refreshments will be available and attendants will be encouraged to remember or weave their own stories of this mystical terrain.
