Caithness Art and Stone Festival

The Caithness Art and Stone Festival will be the third exhibition by Sìdh C Art and we are really excited to be expanding the range of the project. The theme this year is rocks and minerals. Caithness is made up of cliffs, pebble beaches, fish fossilised and flagstone. Standing stones, brochs, castles, and more modern structures make up this extraordinary place and we would like to explore this theme through visual art in all it’s forms this year!
We will be working with the drystone wallers, playwrites, musicians and crafters to put on an arts festival from Monday 4th – Saturday 16th August 2025 at the Ross Institute in Halkirk.

We are opening the artists and photographers application process. These are paid positions and we apply for funding to pay the fees. We want to promote paid work opportunities for artists and we pay with reference to the
