Legends of Caithness is a project which aims to preserve the folklore and myths of the Caithness landscape through an exhibition and storytelling events in July 2023. By working with local artists and existing organisations, we will map out the old and new legends in the area, producing art around the selkies and mermaids as well as newer elements of the landscape. We hope to revitalise this mystical landscape with the retelling of myths and folklore, and secure Caithness on the map as a valuable site of unique and startling stories.

Funded by Halkirk District Benefit Fund, RWE Camster Wind Farm Community Fund and Halsary Wind Farm Community Fund, both of which are administered by Foundation Scotland.
