Program Opening: Bugs!

This is the program launch of our new theme: bugs.
This will be an event with stories by Alex Patience, intermingled with music by Pascal Meru. We will have tea and coffee and welcome you to bring snacks.
Our theme this year is bugs – a critical part of our ecosystem which are sometimes overlooked, and often sources of fear and revultion (the poor tykes – they all play their part!) After seeing the work that local organisations have done to restore and celebrate species such as the small blue butterfly, seeing local artists use insects as inspiration, and thinking about themes of discomfort and growth, we decided to adopt bugs as our theme. Come along and share your love, hate and fascination, and hear about what events we will have on this year. This will also be the launching event to our Rising Artists of Caithness course, which runs each year with local artists on a theme. We are excited and we invite you to share that with us!
