DESCRIPTION:People awaiting treatment for neurodivergencies \n\nNeurodivergence refers to brain functioning\, learning\, and behavior that differs from the societal “standard\,” divided into innate (from birth\, e.g.\, autism\, ADHD\, dyslexia\, Tourette’s\, Down Syndrome) or acquired (developed later via trauma\, illness\, or injury\, e.g.\, PTSD\, ABI\, dementia). Both forms represent non-typical cognitive styles. This session will welcome conversation and experiences of waiting for diagnoses for cognitive conditions and the effect it can have. \n\nThese sessions are run by an artist as an inclusive practise\, not a clinical practitioner.
