SUMMARY:The Tale of George Levack for Senior Citizens
DESCRIPTION:Doreen Leith has been gathering personal accounts of Wick and the surrounding area for years and as such is well qualified to encourage the sharing of stories. The story goes that in 1895\, George Levack\, b Halkirk 1833\, took a walk along Wick River\, where he came across the Fairy Queen and her consort. An artefact from this adventure an inscripted silver cane\, along with photos and poems by Levack\, are held at Wick Heritage Centre and well worth seeing. Doreen will tell the story of Mr. Levack and the silver-topped cane\, and\, with visual memory aids\, will encourage others to share their stories of Caithness.
